If you know anything about the grooms, you know they love an opportunity to dress up. With that in mind, they encourage you to express your personal style while keeping in mind the following guidelines:
It being an early-autumn wedding, warmer fabrics and designs are encouraged but most common rooms will have a wood-burning stove lit in them. Weather in Wales during this time of year is variable, so some layers would be advisable.
The colors of the wedding are forest green and wedgwood blue (see right). Guests are encouraged to wear whatever color they like, but wedding party members should check with the grooms about color requirements.
The Scottish Nicolson hunting tartan (pictured right) will be featured throughout the weekend - Nicolson family is encouraged to wear the family tartan and any guests are welcome to wear the Nicolson tartan or a tartan connected to your family. Have fun with it!
Dress Codes for the different events throughout the weekend are as follows:
Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual - the welcome dinner will be in the evening so darker colors are encouraged,
ties optional.
Daytime Formal - think royal wedding, tea length or floor length day dresses with hats or full suit and tie.
Cocktail - this is optional, since there will be a few hours between the reception and the afterparty you can change if you want but feel free to stay in your outfit from the ceremony. As long as you can dance, you're good!
